To mark the one-year countdown to the opening of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Culture and Ceremonies Department of Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games invited well-known domestic artists to launch the Ode to Ice and Snow Art Exhibition.
Han Zirong, full-time vice president and secretary general of Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, visited the exhibition and communicated with the artists on site.
The art exhibition is one of a series of events to mark the one-year countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics and showcased more than 40 works of Mou Cheng and Li Honghai. Integrating the national quintessence of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy with the Beijing Winter Olympics and ice and snow sports, the two artists highlight the outstanding characteristics and unique charm of ice and snow sports, and culture with unique artistic techniques.
The Beijing Organising Committee will also use a variety of artistic forms during the event’s key milestones to showcase the development of China's ice and snow sports and the progress of preparations for the Winter Olympics to host a "fantastic, extraordinary and excellent" Olympic Games.
