On the afternoon of March 22, Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and Beijing Operation Guarantee Headquarters held the first coordination meeting to review the progress of the preparation work and solve related problems. Cai Qi, Secretary of the CPC Beijing  Committee and Chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, presided over the meeting. Other important leaders and relevant persons in charge attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that it is a major political responsibility to go all out to prepare for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to do a good job of finishing the construction of venues and infrastructure in accordance with the standards of the Winter Olympics. The meeting stressed that it is a must to study and solve the problems found in the snow event tests one by one, and improve the working mechanism and plans to ensure full readiness before the Games.

The meeting also emphasized that it is critical to do a good job in ensuring the catering services for the Games. It also focused on carrying out publicity and cultural activities on important occasions to promote Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

A briefing on current key tasks and issues that need to be coordinated in the preparation of the Winter Olympics was also reported to the meeting for coordinated solutions.
